RedDots: detecting terrestrial planets within 5pc

Sandra Jeffers
Georg-August Universitaet, Goettingen

The RedDots team has made an exceptional contribution to exoplanet science by detecting planets around our nearest stellar neighbours. Following from our detection of Proxima Centauri b and Barnard's star, we are now detecting more planets using our proven method of regular cadence observations. I will present our latest results on the system of super-Earths detected orbiting the near-by star Gliese 887: a boring star but optimal for further characterisation.
