Mass Functions Made Easy With LEGO

Stefan J. Kautsch
Nova Southeastern University (Florida, USA)

The concept of mass functions in astronomy is one of the lesser-known topics although it impacts the whole cosmos and is a highly-debated research field. Mass functions can be found on all mass scales in the universe, and affect essentially all cosmic objects. I present a pedagogical strategy using LEGO to promote this concept for the presentation at community events and interdisciplinary education.
